Day 2 of the Chama adventures is here. Today will be a ride aboard 216 to Osier and back. We're going to try a little near live coverage again going up the hill, as we did last year. Looks like a great morning in Chama today, though more showers and t-storms forecast for the afternoon.

That will be all for now, wants to save battery for the train ride. Another morning will have a full coverage of ash pit, water tank and coaling.

Thanks for all the great photos Larry, Bob Ross (the docent on the rider gon in the black cowboy hat) is the chairman of the Friends BOD. Even our leaders get out there and work doing what we can to support the railroad.

When we were standing on the section house roof looking down the valley to Chama, I had great reception! :mrgreen:

Going to Osier is quite a different story.

I saw Larry Gibson live also this morning at the ash pit when I viewed the web cam. Best that he is there enjoying the lovely weather, as back home, he might of got a tornado warning -- really! There were warnings in the Grand Rapids, MI area, but all clear now.

John - we have about 8 more days of him out there - so be prepared!! :grin:

I'm told today (Sunday) will be a light day with some 216 preparations and the two trains coming in later. Hard to curb his enthusiasm, so we'll see what we get!!
