For those that remember last year, Larry Gibson had his two sons with him and we posted daily the time spent in Chama and area. This year he is back, planning on about 10 days or so during the time with the two Geese and 315 visiting. Once again, we'll try to do some near real time updates, as well as other captures during the week. Most of the bigger pictures and videos won't be uploaded until he returns home. So once again --- enjoy the sharing all provided by Mr. Gibson!

I'll get crew names in later. Rain started coming down fairly hard as the train pulled out. Larry G is on his way down to Chama now. We'll likely get some morning shots at Antonito later today.

In Larry's words, this is his kid in a candy store week!!!

The crew is in the black hat is Jeff Stebbins (engineer), Ray Martinez, (head conductor), and I am working on the younger guy's name.

You can always tell Jeff with his bowler. I think that is Brandon the trainman.

Do believe you are correct in that is Rogers place. Next door is the best cappuccino in town.

Sure would like to know about that box car which came over from Antonito on the student train. Its go 2 windows up high.

I see Larry is shooting the new kitchen storage car that is currently at the depot.

Can you ask Larry to get more shots of the 3244 box car sitting there at the depot. It is, I found out, a coach/toilet, but I do not see end doors.

487 heads back to the shop after turning 215. No stop for sand today in the rain.

So after having some dinner I was told that Larry G was headed back to the hotel -- this doesn't look like a hotel!!!

Sanding operations are taking place at the shop tonight -- 10 bags of sand.

Thanks Jason! Appreciate your kind word. The background story is a rain shower came up and I moved over to the porch.

Hi Larry, Roy Lloyd (the guy who built and installed the semaphore saw your photos and noticed that almost every photo he has seen since we left has the blades in a different position. Perhaps we have a phantom station agent up on Cumbres Pass....

When he sent that to me I mentioned how unique it was, glad you think so too. I think it was more due to the rain he was under cover, but it sure worked out for this shot!!
