After a great week working with the Friends, it was time to get back to the chase. This edition covers Saturday 7/30/16 on a chase of 216 out of Chama with 489.
My first set up was an overlook which shows the Rio Chama bridge and Juke's tree.

The 489 is going over the crest of the grade as it slows for the water stop and take off the retainer valves on the cars.

Is the signal at Cumbres a semaphore or a train order signal? I suspect that it's the latter. I doubt if DRGW used semaphore's on the narrow gauge.

Yes it is a train order board.
