Sharon's uncommonly good Chama adventure some final thoughts

Unread postby Sharon Evans » Tue Aug 02, 2016 6:24 pm

I wanted to post some thoughts from today though I will post further pictures once I get home. On leaving Chama I went over to Antonito to shot the departure of 216 with 463. I set up at the County Road E5, which is the last crossing before the train heads into the wild. Once I finished the shots and as I was packing my gear up, I saw black smoke off in the distance and then a tiny train appeared from behind a rise and slowly move across this open space than disappeared behind another rise. It was trailing a thin wisp of smoke. It could not have appeared any longer than 1.5 inches. This really struck me as such an appropriate ending for my wonderful time in Chama and with the C&TS.
