I arrived in Chama at 2:15 this afternoon and wasted no time in getting up the hill to chase 215 back. I was able to first catch it at Los Pinos valley and follow it back to Chama. Here is a sampling of today's images. Just noted that I need to update my watermark.
Train 215 comes up the Los Pinos valley

Almost at the summit, 487 blows for 4th crossing

215 comes very slowly around Windy Point

Coming over Labato trestle

As 215 enters Chama yard we see it passing the water tower

You get a good look at the bunting on the platform of parlor Colorado which has been there since opening day. That is conductor Chris hanging off the step of the parlor.

I like the shot of the train in the trees as it heads toward Tanglefoot. I don't often have occasion to chase the train so it's nice to see shots that are new to me. And I could be wrong, but I think more people chase the train eastbound.

I see you caught Jeff Stebbens in the right side seat. Enjoy your week out there.

Very Nice, Sharon! My favorite is the "Windy Point" photograph, but others are also great! Glad you're having a good time!

Of course tomorrow you get to go to work. Any word on what crew you will be working on? Hopefully you will get some train time while working.

They have me working in the kitchen Pete, so close to the tracks but no windows on that side. I will be back chasing next weekend as well as riding the trains some more.

Well considering that I use a Nikon 610 with an FX 24 - 120 mm lense with a combined weight of 6 pounds, it is hard to get a selfie with that. Will see if someone can take one of me to post.

You'll be with a good crew - Maryjane runs a tight ship. Be prepared for Thursday since that is hamburger day and everyone who can makes it back to the yard for that (even the Cumbres crew).
