New Friend's Member

Noah Rose has officially joined the Friends. I have to wonder if he's the youngest to do so. He was 25 days old when I asked Gwen to add him to my family membership.

After 4 long weeks in the NICU, Noah is home and in perfect health. His parents, however, are exhausted... but very happy.

It will be a few years before the little guy can join me at a Work Session, but I'm confident he will someday. His bedtime stories will likely center on a magical place called Chama that he'll get to visit when he's older.

:proceed:

*The cap he's wearing has the Texas State Railroad emblem on it. Given the distance involved, he'll be visiting the TSR long before he'll be able to make the trek to Chama.

His nursery will be complete with filtered air which will just happen to coal smoke scented. Right?

Excellent idea. I'll do that a little ways down the road.

He's probably strong enough. He has tried to rip my beard off more than once and the little guy has some muscles!

Here's a current photo. We joined my family for Halloween and Noah went as a lump of coal. I dressed as a Fireman. This was a simple, easy solution that my wife came up with to use things we already had laying around. :smiley16:

*Yes, the lantern is authentic D&RGW. I lit it and carried it (along with my "coal") while the family trick-or-treated.

Glad Noah is doing well. He looks like a happy young man! The exhaustion is temporary, only lasts about 18 years.
