Bob has been working consistently on the Cumbres section house. Today 6 volunteers raised and leveled the sagging structure

Here's an interesting view. You can see the original grade, a layer of cinders and on top a layer of soil

Here the significant adjustment can be seen in the sagging porch. The porch needs work and is also going to be raised

None of the windows cracked, no boards buckled. A brilliant plan and execution by Bob!

The two guys in the second photo is Geof Gordon in the white hard hat, Bob Reib in the red hat, third photo is Bob Reib (red hat), and Ron Horejsi in the tan hat. Geof is wearing the blue/white plaid shirt in photos 4&5. You can see all the hard work it takes to lift a sagging 120+ year old building without a concrete footing. The last photo is fearless leader Bob Conroy himself, if his 'mustache gets any longer he is gonna trip on it. Good show guys, and thanks!

That's dedication. I wish I had more time to devote to the work there.

It sure is dedication. However we are so lucky to have Bob leading the restoration. He has the skill and knowledge.

Bob is the perfect guy to lead this team as he did shoring for a living years ago. He work with John Sutkus on the coal tipple in Chama years ago, and he is a professional carpenter to boot. Before he took on the section house this summer we was doing structural and siding work on the carman's house across the tracks. Bob working with Dave Ferro on the hill, we got the 'A Team' fixing up those buildings! :smiley24:
